I can’t believe what a difference changing our garage doors could be! Our old doors were perfectly fine, but a little dented. They served their purposed but didn’t add anything extra to our curb appeal.

Before

Then we got these new garage doors from Amarr. We were considering two different brands and quite honestly, we picked Amarr because they had a better website and we were able to easily see the different options for door and window styles. Our sales person recommended not getting the windows in the top but I am so glad we got them, they let in so much natural light. Every time I pull up I am so happy with them!

The doors we had before were standard contractor grade. You know how sometime you don’t know what you don’t know? Well that was the case here, our new doors have so much better insulation that while it’s been (Texas) cold out lately, my garage is not much cooler than our house, it has been a noticeable difference!

I’m also a big stickler for good seals around my garage doors. In fact, I had replaced the bottom seal on my old doors several years ago with a seal like this one from Amazon (https://amzn.to/2NMLPi0). When we first moved into our house, each winter we would have a critter in our garage. After putting in the bottom seals, we never had another little visitor. I will go at great lengths to keep rodents out!!

New Garage Doors

While we were at it, we went ahead and replace our garage door openers. Our new Amarr openers are so quiet and we can control them from an app on our phone.

Although this is a larger investment (total for the doors, including the openers and installation was ~$4,000) we have been so pleased with the end product and now we just wish we had made the change sooner!
