Do you have the Ring Video Doorbell? We’ve really liked ours and decided to add a few more Ring items to our security arsenal. In the process we updated our existing built in system.
The Door Bell
We’ve had our Ring Door Bell (https://amzn.to/335ARcF) for a few years now, we’ve loved having it to see when packages have been delivered, what’s happening outside our door, or oh ya, to find out who is at our door.
The Security System
I didn’t love that the key pad (https://amzn.to/2JFJ2Vf) is set up to be plugged into in outlet. While this would be great if you didn’t already have a built in system. I found that by adding a small converter (https://amzn.to/2JFJ2Vf), I could hard-wire the keypad into my existing system. I love that the monitoring is so affordable!
Camera Flood Lights
The Ring floodlight cameras (https://amzn.to/2pmg7Pk) were really easy to install and connect to our wifi system, the app has some great options to block out certain areas so that you aren’t constantly notified of small motions like the bushes moving.
The App
I really like that I can pull up the app on my phone and see all of my cameras at once. On the app, I can hit my panic button or turn on lights or sirens on my floodlight cameras. I can also link the cameras so that if one detects motion all of the lights turn on. We use Alexa in our house (and love it) and I can ask Alexa to show me the various cameras on my Alexa Show (https://amzn.to/2JBf0lp). One other feature is that I can see if there were any incidents nearby with my neighbors who also have the Ring system.
