We have a dog that we love and she is a big part of our family! As great as she is, there have been a few things we’ve had to find solutions for. In order for us to coexist without me tripping over our girl Ruby’s bowls I knew I needed to find a solution for our pet food bowl clutter that was overwhelming my back door.
My number one goal was to get the bowls off the floor so that I could keep the area clean. I don’t like having to move items off the floor in order to vacuum under them. Not only is having the bowls wall mounted a plus for me, it will also be more comfortable for Ruby to eat her food, especially as she gets older! I had trouble finding a solution that fit with my decor. I didn’t want a plain plastic holder that looked cheap and boring. So, of course, I decided to build my own wall mounted pet food bowl holder.
After a few tries I think I came up what a pretty smart solution! I got out my power tools and created the structure and mounting cleat from wood. Then I found some fun paper to dress it up and give it some flair! Finally a nice coat of clear shiny resin gives this project the look I was after. Now this isn’t boring and will be a lovely statement!
